Empire portrait of a beauty in a white dress and red scarf was executed c.1800-1803 and have very close similarities to be attributed to the hand of renowned French portrait painter of the end of 18th - beginning of 19th centuries Louise-Élisabeth Vigée-Le Brun (1755 Paris - 1842 Paris).
Louise-Élisabeth Vigée-Le Brun (also Le Brun; * April 16, 1755 in Paris; † March 30, 1842 in Paris, buried in Louveciennes) was a French painter who created numerous portraits of European nobles. Her works are associated with the Rococo and later with Neoclassicism.
