Yemelyan Mikhailovich Korneev (1782 – no earlier than 1839) was a Russian engraver, draftsman, and traveler, a master of landscape painting. He was an academician of historical painting from 1807. Korneev's works on the peoples of the Russian Empire, their folk costumes, rituals, and crafts, created during his travels, constitute valuable ethnographic material.
Etcher Egor Skotnikov, The engraver and etcher; a portraitist, he created compositions on biblical and mythological (allegorical) subjects. He participated in the creation of engravings for the album "The Peoples of Russia, or Description of the Morals, Customs, and Costumes of the Various Nationalities of the Russian Empire" ("Les peuples de la Russie, ou Description des moeurs, usages et costumes des diverses nations de l'empire de Russie"; Paris, 1812).
