Old master portrait of a man with a beard (probably Saint Apostle Peter)was created in the 18 century and due to the close stilistic similarities was attributed to the hand of well-known German landscape and portrait painter Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich Dietrichy (1712 Weimar-1774 Dresden). For comparison see additional photos of similar works by the same artist from the collection of Hermitage, St.Petersburg. The artist travelled to Rome and Venice 1743 and our works are from this periode.
