Very decorative still life with roses was executed by Austrian landscape and still life painter Konstantin Stoitzner (1863 Mährisch Chforstau - 1933 Vienna).
Konstantin Stoitzner, the son of the botanist and teacher Karl Stoitzner, studied from 1883 at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under August Eisenmenger and Christian Griepenkerl. He created oil paintings of genre scenes, portraits, and floral still lifes. From 1900 onward, he devoted himself primarily to landscape and vedute painting with motifs from the Alps, Burgenland, Moravia, East Frisia, and the Lüneburg Heath. From 1914 to 1923, he headed the Austrian Artists' Association.
