Masterfully painting with  genre scene at the Grand Canal in Venice, this work was executed around 1830-1840 by a painter from the circle and in the style of Important German painter of Romanticism Friedrich Nerly (1807 Erfurt - 1878 Venice), who for his Venice cityscapes received world acknowledge.

Inscription: remainer of signature lower right.

Technique: oil on mahagony wood, original  gilt frame.

Measurements: unframed 24" x 14 1/3" (61,3 x 36,5 cm ), framed 29 7/8" x 20 1/4"(76 x 51,5cm).

Condition: very good.
