Animalistic painting with cat and her playing kitten was executed on the turn of 20th Century by French popular animale painter Jules Gustave Le Roy (1856 - 1921). Unfortunately, not much is known about him at all. It‘s clear , however, that he was a 19th Century animale artist, who focused his work primarily on kitten and cats, caprturing them incandescent poses while creating mishima. Le Roy does have his own distinctive style, his works can be compare with other 19th Century artist such as Henriette Ronner-Knip, Julis Adam and Eugene Louis Lambert.
