He studied at the Lycée Thiers.
He is best known for his talents as an illustrator. He illustrated classic works such as La Fontaine's Fables and books by his friends, like Paul Guigou's Noah's Ark. He also wrote and illustrated children's books, such as Marius Bouillabès's The Boy and Vimar's Automobile.
He contributed to numerous newspapers, including Le Figaro illustré, Le Rire, Mon journal, Le Journal du dimanche, La Vedette, and La Provence artistique & pittoresque.
He influenced Benjamin Rabier.
