Coastal scene at the Cliff and Rock of Etretat in the French Normndy was executed in the first half of 19th century by an represntative of the French School.
The cliffs of Étretat are world-famous, up to 100-meter-high chalk cliffs on the Norman Alabaster Coast in France, known for their spectacular rock arches (Aval, Amont, Manneporte) and needles.
