Sicilian view of the square in Mazara del Vallo with the Cathedral and the Seminary Palace was executed in the early 19th century by an Italian pointier from the circle and in the style of Giuseppe I Canella ( 1788-1847).
Piazza della Republicans is the most important square in Mazara del Vallo, a town in Sicilian Island. It was built between 17 and 18th Centuries in a Barroque-style and here there are the most important religious buildings of the town (cathedral, bishop palace, diocesan museum).

Technique: oil on paper, laid down on wood, original period gilt frame.
Measurements: unframed w 14" x h 9 7/8" (35,5 x 25 cm), framed 17 1/8" x 13 1/8" (43,5 x 33,5 cm).
