Monumental painting with a lake and mountains , probably in Tirol or Bavaria was executed in 1854 by Austrian portrait  and landscape painter Josef Holzl (Holzel), born in Obermais, Mern , died 1891 in Insbruck. Mention places Lana/Tirol, Bavaria. 

Inscription: signed and dated (1)854 lower right.

Technique: oil on canvas. Antique wood frame.

Measurements: unframed w 56 3/4" x h 37 5/8" (144 x 95,5 cm); framed w 61 3/4" x h 43" (157 x 109,5 cm)

Condition: in  good condition.
