Impressionist painting with sailors on a pier in the port of Odessa was executed by famous Soviet and Ukrainian painter, master of landscapes and narrative paintings  Professor Mikhail Dmitrievich Todorov (1915– Odessa - 1997)

Years of life: Born in the Odessa region, died in 1997. Education: Studied at the Odessa Art School and at the I. E. Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture under B. V. Ioganson. Activities: Taught at the Odessa Art School and was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1967).
