A pair of high qualitative family portraits was executed in ca. 1830-1840s by Slovak- Austrian genre, portrait and flower painter Josef Ginovszky or Ginowsky (1800 Töltzek in Slovakia - 1857 Leoben, Austria). The artist studied at the Vienna Academy and worked in Vienna. He painted portraits in oil and watercolour, still lifes, landscapes with animals and hunting works.

Technique: both watercolours on paper, matted and framed.
Measurements: each image w 5 1/2" x h 6 7/8" (14 x 17,5 cm), framed w 10 1/4" x h 12" (26 x 30,5 cm).
